James J. Kretsch, Jr. represents corporate and individual clients in both Minnesota and Florida. His practice focuses on business representation, including contract law, entity formation, and litigation management. He also represents commercial and residential real estate clients and assists clients with estate planning and business succession needs.
Mr. Kretsch was admitted to the Minnesota State Bar, the Florida State Bar and the Minn. U.S. District Court in 1994. He received his B.A. in business economics from the University of Minnesota-Morris in 1990 and a J.D. from Hamline University School of Law in 1993, where he was a member of National Moot Court (1992). Jim is currently a Supreme Court Qualified Neutral, sits on the Supreme Court Board of Legal Certification, President of the Bloomington Daymakers Rotary Club, a member of the Lakeville Chamber of Commerce, and a past member of the John E. Simonett Inn of Court. Jim also belongs to the Minnesota, Florida, and Hennepin County Bar Associations. Mr. Kretsch was named a “Rising Star” by Minnesota Law and Politics in 2002 and 2004. He has successfully argued cases in front of the Minnesota Court of Appeals.
