Bob Gust is a founder of the firm and chairs the litigation department. He represents large and small businesses on issues of virtually every type. He began his career in 1984 in the Business Litigation Department of Oppenheimer, Wolff & Donnelly. Since then, he has continued his litigation practice, but now uses that experience to advise clients on contracts, transactions, and other issues in an effort to prevent or at least minimize problems and the resulting litigation. Gust has argued before the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Minnesota and Nebraska Supreme Courts, the Minnesota Court of Appeals, and many state and federal district courts around the country.
Gust graduated cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School, where he was a member of the Law Review. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Colorado with a degree in Finance. He has been an adjunct professor teaching Due Diligence in the MBA program at St. Mary’s University.
In addition to various bar associations, Bob is a Rotarian, a published author, and a kidney donor.
